The State of Science Funding
Join us as we welcome Dr. Laura Sirot, Professor of Biology at the College of Wooster, on the State of Science Funding:
Have you heard about cuts to science funding and workforce? Does this have you concerned? Come talk about it at this month's Wooster Science Cafe. At this cafe, Dr. Sirot will explain how science funding works in the United States, the major sources of funding, and what it is used for.
She will then provide examples of recent cuts to science funding and workforce and explore the likely consequences of these cuts. Finally, we will discuss what can do to support science moving forward.
Special Note!
This month’s presentation will be given at the The Lyric Theatre in downtown Wooster.
