The Wonder of the Cosmos: What We Can Learn by Looking Up?

Join us as we welcome Dr. Laura DeGroot, Assistant Professor, Department of Physics at The College of Wooster for her talk: The Wonder of the Cosmos: What We Can Learn by Looking Up?

We live in a golden age of cosmic discovery. The James Webb Space Telescope is revealing galaxies from the dawn of time, while the Vera C. Rubin Observatory is now capturing the Universe changing night by night. But the most exciting part? You don't need a PhD to participate. In this talk, we’ll explore how looking up—and getting involved in real astronomical discovery—can change how we see our place in the cosmos.
