Join us as we welcome Gordon Maupin, Retired Executive Director of The Wilderness Center for his talk: A Controversy in Evolutionary Biology

Drawing on his training in biology and plant ecology and his career in conservation and education, Gordon examines the scientific foundations of two frameworks used to explain the evolution of cooperation. These two frameworks are inclusive fitness theory and multilevel selection. Gordon will explain these two frameworks, how they came about, current thought on both ideas, and why this matters to human society.
